This post is on 2006 Chevrolet program key fobs using GM TECH2 with 32MB card and CANdi module.

Purpose:
Program Key Fobs
Tool to use:
Tech 2 GM Scan Tool with  GM Tech 2 32MB Memory card (updated) and the CANdi module (as cheap as $279 at uobdii.com, original is as much as $3000)


Procedure:
Install the GM Tech 2 scan tool
Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF

Power On the Scan Tool
Click “Enter”
Main Menu > F0: DIAGNOSTICS


Vehicle identification – Model Year > (9) 2006


Vehicle identification – Product Type > Passenger Car


Vehicle identification – Product Make > (1) Chevrolet


Vehicle identification – Product Line > A


Diagnostics > F6: Body and Accessories


Vehicle identification – Service Categories > Keyless Entry

Body and Accessories > F5: Module Setup


Module Setup > F0: Body Control Module


Body Control Module > F0: Program Key Fobs


Program Key Fobs > F0: Invalidate all key fobs


Click “Continue”.


Click “Continue”.


Click “No” when get message “would you please program another key fob”


Procedure complete

VXDIAG VCX NANO GM  +  TIS2000 : IT works!! ok for anyone trying to use the VXDIAG GM nano with SPS this is what you need to do (order is important): *** please note you cannot use the VM that the VXDIAG package comes with (GDS2 VM). It’s configured in such a way it won’t work with the dongle crack and caused me a lot of head scratching to find this out. 1. Create a windows XP 32bit VM using VMWare Player 2. Make sure you add an LPT port (set to auto, not connected on startup). It doesn’t matter if your actual PC has an LPT port or not this is needed for the dongle crack later. 3. Good questions and answers of GM diagnostic test. Just share some i think good to share with you all. Hope it helps. Question:  That screen does look exactly like my  Tech II  menus. Some sort of emulator I'm guessing. Nice find. Edit: Curious how you connected the laptop to your obd 2 port? Answer:  you plug the device into the OBD2 port, and then you either use Wifi back to the laptop to connect that way ($129), or you can use a usb cable instead ($119). Even through the device is using  GDS2 ,  MDI  and Tech2win software on the laptop side, the only thing that I have to question is if you can drive firmware upgrades through it to reprogram modules if needed as well? Now the bad news that maybe the op can bring us up to speed, did you mange to get the tech2 win to install on a 64 bit machine with 64 bit windows, or did you install tech2win and the rest of the software a 32windows machine only isntead.
